In person enrollment temporarily paused

Nassau, Bahamas – March 15th, 2020 –

 

NHIA has temporary paused in person enrollment until further notice.

 

Following the announcement of the first confirmed COVID-19 (Coronavirus) on the Island of New Providence, The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has indefinitely suspended all in person enrollment effective immediately to promote social distancing and to assist in minimizing the spread of COVID-19 from person to person contact.

 

Anyone wishing to enroll with NHI can do so by phone and should call 396 8500 or enroll online by visiting our website www.nhibahamas.gov.bs

 

The National Health Insurance Authority is committed to taking all possible actions to ensure the safety of its beneficiaries, employees and the general public.  Preventative and protective measures have been put in place until further notice.
